Mark Karpovck, DMD
Dual specialist in Orthodontics and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dr. Karpovck was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan and completed his undergraduate studies in Chemistry and pre-Medicine. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree at Oral Roberts University School of Dentistry in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Following dental school, Dr. Karpovck completed a four year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans. During those four years, he trained extensively in all surgical corrections of facial deformities and plastic surgery procedures. He developed a close relationship with specialists in prosthetics for the placement of dentures, crowns, and bridges with dental implants.
For an additional two years, Dr. Karpovck continued his education at Louisiana State University School of Dentistry to receive a certificate in the specialty of Orthodontics. Dr. Karpovck is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and is certified in Basic and Advanced Life Support. Dr. Karpovck is the only dual specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial and Orthodontics in the State of Florida.
Although Dr. Karpovck enjoys practicing the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery he has a special interest in complex dental implant surgery, especially those involving bone graft reconstruction.
